Apple Pot Roast

Here's a tasty recipe for a pot roast.  The hubby threw a few things together in the slow cooker one day, and when it came dinner time, it was delicious.  So, here we go:

Apple pot roast
**Requires a slow cooker
1.5-2 apples cut into 1/8 pieces, then halved
1-1.5 lb of beef shoulder or chuck
1 med-lg onion cut into 1/8ths
2 cups of beef broth

  1. Cut up onions and apples
  2. Put meat into slow cooker in the am, drop apples and onions on top, then pour beef broth over entire thing
  3. Set for 8-10 hours cook time at medium to low heat (mine has no heat-setting, just a time setting, so I will set it for 10 hours and just leave)
It's easy, tasty, and moist. I usually pair it with egg noodles and a veggie. Enjoy :)
