Dogfood

Worry not, followers.  Dogfood is not actually food for a dog.  It's a pasta dish that my aunt used to make, and I began making it after I got married, and the hubby enjoyed it.

It is, by far, the simplest recipe I've ever made.  My aunt makes her own sauce, but I've opted for the store-bought variety.

Ingredients
1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce (you can use two, if you prefer more sauce)
1 lb of macaroni elbows (or shells, or bowties)
mozzarella cheese
ground beef
and any other things you want to toss into the sauce, such as mushrooms or onions

1. Cook the meat, mushrooms, onions, etc.  Drain
2. Combine mixture with sauce, and simmer.
3. Cook pasta according to directions on box.
4. Combine pasta and sauce.
5. Stir in mozzarella, or layer pasta and mozzarella--make sure to place cheese on top of mixture.(Optional) Bake at 350 degrees, for 10-15 minutes, or until cheese melts.

This simple, and easy meal takes about 30 minutes and is enjoyable to everyone.  Pair with a salad and garlic bread, and you've got a great meal...

Enjoy.
