Yesterday, when Mom and I went shopping at the commissary, we bought chocolate chips and walnuts, and I planned to make chocolate chip and walnut cookies for Daddy for making the twenty-hour round-trip drive (twice in a week) to bring Mommy up and then take her home at the end of the week. So today, I figured I'd make them.
I got the recipe from the back of the chocolate chip bag. So, I cheated.

Here's the recipe:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts (or any other nuts)
Preheat oven to 375-degrees
Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl.
Mix softened butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, and mix well between eggs. Once mixed well, add in the flour mixture. Mix all together. Then add chips and nuts. Drop teaspoon-sized balls onto ungreased cookie sheet, and bake for between 9 and 11 minutes. (Usually about 9 mins, and 45 sec or 10 minutes and they should be golden brown.) Let cool before moving and eating.
